Official Housing Representative for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™
Short’s Sports & Events, a division of Short’s Travel Management, the official Housing Bureau for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games has developed a priority program for hotel accommodations. This program will allow you to place a room reservation well in advance of the Games and prior to when most hotel reservations systems will be able to do so.
Please follow these steps:
1. Click on this link: https://www.planningpoint.net/Events/HOTELDEPOSITSITE2 or cut and paste the URL onto your web browser. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me via email at creimer@shortstravel.com
2. You will be asked to enter some personal information and general hotel request information, to include the approximate arrival and departure dates. You will need to place a non-refundable deposit via major credit card, of which all but the administration fee will apply to the hotel room total.
Once you have completed the online process, you will receive a confirmation of your registration via email. This will be your receipt of payment as well. You will not be able to select a specific hotel property at this time, but the data you enter allows the Housing Bureau to most efficiently manage the hotel room blocks amongst constituent groups such as you, the early hotel deposit attendee, the teams, media, sponsors, etc.
3. The specific selection of hotel properties will begin April 27, 2009. At that time you will have approximately three weeks to make a hotel selection. The initial deposit amount (minus the administration fee) will be transferred to the hotel guaranteeing your reservation. Again, please note that this deposit is non-refundable and will show on your statement as Short's Travel Management or PayPal. Future deposit payments will be made directly to the hotel selected by you.

JKS Custom Environments Sponsor Jumps Used in the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event
JKS Custom Environments is the official sponsor of the stadium jumps used by the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event at the Kentucky Horse Park. See them in action Sunday, April 26, 2009 in the new Outdoor Stadium.
The stadium jumps, owned by the KHP Foundation, are unique in the show jumping world because they represent local horse farms, equine businesses, and other attractions. For example jumps representing Keeneland, Churchill Downs, Lane's End Farm, Calumet Farm, and many more make the stadium portion of the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event unlike any other event.

Farmhouse Opens April 22!
Spring is finally here at the Kentucky Horse Park – the bluegrass is growing, birds are singing, and we are firing up the range at the Farmhouse!
We will open for lunch on Tuesday, April 22, and our hours of operation this year are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm. Most exciting of all is our new Caterer, Buona Catering, joining us from Chicago with a fantastic new menu.

New Necktie to Benefit the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation

The Kentucky Horse Park Foundation and the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games are proud to announce today the launch of a unique fundraiser.
An official Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games tie by vineyard vines®, commissioned by Louisville retailer Parallel 38, will launch during the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, the largest annual equine event held at the Kentucky Horse Park, from April 23-26, 2009.
The custom tie features the repeated design of the exciting horse head from the 2010 Games logo and a horseshoe. Available in red, royal blue, pink and green, the tie will sell for $95 with $10 from the sale of each tie benefiting the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation.

Cross Country Schooling Days
The Kentucky Horse Park and the KHP Foundation are pleased to once again offer Cross Country Schooling Days at the Kentucky Horse Park Cross Country Course.
The course will include basic to advanced obstacles and combinations and will attempt to mimic problems combinations that regularly occur in competition. These schooling days are offered as an educational opportunity and safety will be considered a priority for all riders and horses.

Fees are $35/horse/session. Onsite registration is available or participants may pre-register by downloading the attachment below.
All horses must have appropriate veterinary inspections and a negative Coggins test per state laws.
