As the heat of summer kicks up a notch, the construction of facilities here at the Kentucky Horse Park has ratcheted up about five notches!
I am pleased that the new barns, funded by the KHP Foundation, are really starting to look like barns. The cupolas have been installed and we’re eagerly awaiting the moment the first horse moves in for the night.
These barns and the new indoor arena are the first equine facilities at the Kentucky Horse Park that are climate controlled. This allows horse shows to take place all year and present a huge opportunity for both the Kentucky Horse Park and the competitions that use this venue.
Each day I visit the Farmhouse to greet donors and look around the new facilities. I am continually pleased that donors to the KHP Foundation have a front porch view of the transformation of the Kentucky Horse Park.
